What You’ll Get:

Breaktime offers a paid transitional employment program for young adults (ages 18–25) experiencing housing instability.

Earn $20/hour working 20–30 hours per week doing 3-months of work or education

Earn up to $10,000 across the full program

Over 50 hours of job training & professional development

Up to $3,000 in matched savings

1:1 credit counseling

Ongoing support from coaches, mentors, and alumni community

Who can apply?

We welcome young adults who are ready to build a better future.

 

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 18–25 years old

  • Are currently experiencing housing insecurity or have transitioned out of it in the past year (This includes couch-surfing, staying in shelter, or being part of rapid rehousing programs)

  • Have identification to complete an I-9 form (like a state ID or Social Security card)

How to apply

  • Fill out a quick interest form – it only takes 5 minutes

  • Our team will reach out for a brief phone or text conversation

  • You’ll be invited to an info session or orientation

Breaktime's Financial Support

  • Launchpad stipend: $1000 over three weeks during the training phase

  • Stable Orbit stipend: $100/month after program completion

  • Matched Savings Program: Save up to $1,500 and we’ll match it—so you leave with up to $3,000 in savings

  • Financial coaching: Access free, one-on-one support to build credit, plan a budget, and more
