Breaktime empowers young adults experiencing housing insecurity by providing paid transitional employment, financial education, and long-term career support. Our three-part program model—Launchpad, Liftoff, and Stable Orbit—helps participants build the stability and confidence needed to thrive.

Liftoff: Paid Transitional Employment

After Launchpad, Associates begin a three-month, paid job placement with a local nonprofit or small business.

Many Associates are hired by their host sites or continue into higher education, full-time jobs, or career training.

  • $20/hour for 20–30 hours/week
     

  • Support from a Young Adult Services Coordinator
     

  • Real-world work experience
     

  • Opportunities to build a network and gain skills
     

  • Save up to $1,300 during the placement
