WAYS TO GIVE
Legacy Circle
Breaktime’s Legacy Circle honors donors who have chosen to support our mission through a will or planned gift. These gifts help young adults experiencing homelessness in Boston build jobs, gain financial stability, and secure long-term housing, creating lasting opportunities that ripple throughout generations.
By planning your gift now, you can ensure that Breaktime continues to empower young adults for years to come.
WAYS TO GIVE
Give in Ways That Work for You
Breaktime is proud to accept gifts through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs, and publicly traded securities. These alternative giving options can make a significant impact while offering donors potential tax advantages.
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) allow you to recommend grants to Breaktime from your fund, making it simple to give strategically and consistently. Gifts from DAFs often allow you to support your favorite causes now while taking advantage of charitable deductions in the year the contribution is made.
Gifts of Securities — including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds — are another powerful way to support young adults experiencing homelessness in Boston. Donating appreciated securities can allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while making a meaningful contribution that helps Breaktime provide consistent services, housing support, and long-term programs for the people we serve.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) Qualified let individuals aged 70½ or older donate directly from their IRAs to Breaktime. This can satisfy required minimum distributions while reducing taxable income, making it a smart way to give while benefiting your financial plan.
Matching Gifts allow your employer to double—or even triple—your donation at no extra cost to you. By taking advantage of matching programs, you can make your generosity go even further.
Creative Ways to Make Change
We believe the best solutions often come from our community. We invite you to dream up unique ways to support our mission—whether through a new idea, a local event, or a creative contribution. Your support directly fuels the independence of young adults in our city.
